Welcome to PlayDayz Playdates. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your subscription to, and use of, the PlayDayz Playdates app (the “App”), operated by PlayDayz Playdates Limited (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
By subscribing to and using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not subscribe or use the App.
1.1. The App facilitates the coordination of childcare and playdates for families.
1.2. PlayDayz Playdates acts solely as a scheduling and meeting platform. We do not provide childcare, supervision, or guarantee the quality, safety, or reliability of any arrangements between users. Members are fully responsible for their own agreements and arrangements.
1.3. Membership tiers include:
Basic Membership: Access to parent and child meet-ups and playdate childcare coordination within your private community.
Premium Membership: Includes all Basic features plus additional services such as school holiday childcare coordination. (Note: The school holiday childcare coordination service is currently available only to users located in the Republic of Ireland, but may expand to additional countries at our sole discretion.)
1.4. Monthly subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date.
2.1. By subscribing, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into this agreement.
2.2. The App is for personal, non-commercial use only.
2.3. Identity verification is required for continued use. Members must upload a valid passport or driving licence. Unverified accounts may be restricted or terminated.
2.4. Verification is normally completed within 24 hours, but may take longer in certain cases.
3.1. Membership fees vary depending on the selected plan (Basic or Premium) and are billed monthly.
3.2. Valid payment details must be provided.
3.3. Subscriptions automatically renew each month unless canceled in account settings.
3.4. Membership fees are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.
4.1. PlayDayz Playdates is a supportive and respectful community. Courtesy and professionalism are required.
4.2. Disputes or unforeseen circumstances between members must be resolved independently; PlayDayz administrators do not intervene.
4.3. Monetary transactions between members are strictly prohibited.
4.4. Discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour will result in suspension or termination.
4.5. School Holiday Childcare Coordination (currently available only in the Republic of Ireland, with potential expansion to other countries at our discretion):
Schedules should align with standard school hours unless otherwise agreed.
Parents must provide packed meals and snacks.
Drop-off and pick-up occur at the host’s residence unless otherwise arranged.
The matching system depends on community size and availability; we do not guarantee successful pairings in all cases.
5.1. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
5.2. Login details may only be shared with household members who are registered users (e.g., a parent or au pair).
5.3. Personal contact details must be exchanged directly between members; we do not disclose them on your behalf.
5.4. Confidential profile data remains private unless you choose to share it.
6.1. All new members must complete identity verification by providing a valid government-issued ID.
6.2. Verified accounts have full access to features (messaging, scheduling, profiles).
6.3. The purpose of verification is to protect the safety and integrity of the community. PlayDayz reserves the right to request additional ID or refuse access at its discretion.
7.1. Your data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
7.2. We do not share user contact details.
7.3. All members appear in the “All Members” section by default. You may switch this feature off in settings if you prefer privacy.
8.1. Neutral Platform: PlayDayz Playdates does not supervise, endorse, or regulate interactions or childcare arrangements.
8.2. User Responsibility: You accept full responsibility for your decisions, interactions, and any risks (including personal injury, property damage, or financial loss).
8.3. Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, PlayDayz Playdates is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the App.
8.4. Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PlayDayz Playdates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) related to your use of the App or breach of these Terms.
8.5. No Warranties: The App is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind.
8.6. Worldwide Application of Law:
If you are based in the EU/EEA or UK, these Terms are governed by Irish law, with exclusive jurisdiction of Irish courts.
If you are based elsewhere, you agree that disputes will also be governed by Irish law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
9.1. You may cancel anytime via account settings. Cancellation prevents future charges but does not refund previous payments.
9.2. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms or the Community Guidelines.
10.1. We may update these Terms and adjust membership fees at our discretion.
10.2. Members will be notified of changes in advance. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
11.1. The App, brand name “PlayDayz Playdates,” logos, software, and all related content are the exclusive property of PlayDayz Playdates Limited.
11.2. You are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use the App for lawful purposes.
11.3. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit any part of the App without our written consent.
